Martin Cleveland Gamble was born Abt. 1785 in Tn, and died 1857 in Greene Co. In. He was the son of Capt. Martin Gamble.  He married Susan Shadden September 11, 1808 in Sumner Co., Tn, daughter of James Shadden and Polly (?) Shadden.  He married 2nd Sarah Combs 8/9/1838

Notes for Martin Cleveland Gamble
It is alleged that Martin took his middle name from his father's commander during the war, Colonel Benjamin Cleveland.  In the 1850 census of Greene County, IN it is shown that Martin stated he was born in TN however all his brothers and sisters are shown as born in Wilkes Co., NC which borders the adjoining state of TN., also his son, Wiley, stated in the 1880 census that his father was born in NC & Sanders Pigg in his bio (included) stated that Martin & Susan were both from the Old Dominion., Burial: Antioch Cemetery , Census: 1850, Living in Greene County, Indiana.  For more details on Gamble, Neeley and Shadden go to  Davis -Bosstick  Genealogy on line at   http://www.angelfire.com/mi/GatesDavisGene/   and                     http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lpproots/Neeley/home.html

Henry Carrol Gambill was born 1821 in Tn, and died 1852 in Sullivan Co. In.  He married Elizabeth A Nelley Abt. 1842 in Wright Twp Greene Co. In.  She was born 1827 in Tn, and died Abt. 1853 in Sullivan Co. In.
Notes for Henry Carrol Gamble: Some confusion on names.  Henry C. Gamble may or may not be Carrol, Although information supports this conclusion.  Henry C. and wife Elizabeth were members of Palmers Prairie Church and are buried at Antioch Cem. Cass Twp . Sullivan Co.

Thomas G Gamble  was born 1842 in In.  He married (1) Catherine Booker August 25, 1859 in Sullivan Co. In, daughter of Abraham Booker and Rachel Eads .  She was born 1843 in In, and died Abt. 1871 in Sullivan Co. In.  He married (2) Carri W. (?) Bef. 1880.    He married (3) Ellie Shepard June 25, 1902.

Thomas G Gamble was married 3 times.  With his first wife, Catherine Booker, he had 4 children: Rachel, William, Elizabeth, and Joseph.  With 2nd wife, he had 3 children: Sarah, John, Maggie.  Thomas in 1880 census list his birth and parents as In.  He purchased from David Arnold on 2-13-1866 80 acres of land in Sec 11,T 7, R 8.

Rachel Gamble  was born December 1861 in In, and died in Sullivan Co. In.  She married Thomas Parks on February 02, 1878 in Sullivan Co. In, son of John Parks and Malinda Enochs.  He was born May 26, 1858 in In, and died October 16, 1917 in Sullivan Co. In.
