census records and death records
he was born in Md. and died in Harrison Co. Oh.. Thomas served in War
of 1812 in Maryland Militia, served under Capt. Thomas
Blair. Company primarily from Cumberland Md.. Made a land
patent in Harrison Co. Ohio on 5/25/1825 (S.E. 28.17.7)
He is buried at
Mayes Cemetery, Harrison Co. Oh, along with wife Barbary (according to
stone). A son Thomas H Irons in biographical sketch found in
Biographical Record of Harrison and Carrol Counties Ohio (Pages
580-581), states: "He was the son of Thomas and Mary (Davidson) Irons
who married
in 1825. Thomas (Sr) (which is really
my Jr) died 12/30/1870 in Harrison Co." Death record in Harrison
Co. Oh. states: died January 5, 1871, age 71 yrs.

Harrison Co. Census would list children, but have not looked up.
1830 Harrsion lists one daughter age 0-5.

Permelia (Mitchell), but no named children (Biographical sketch above
lists 3 of six
living: Mary A Morris, Agnes G. Stewart and Ella Latto). Thomas H

states: died 10/21/1876, age 44 yrs., 3 months, 16 days. Born
Harrison Co. Ohio. Cause of death typhoid fever.
Apparently Mary A Davidson and
Barbary are the same person
