His wife Charity West states
in a pension application that they were
married on Aug 25, 1814 in Harrison Co. Oh.. They had the following
children: Thomas, Morris, Wesley, Elizabeth, Susanna (source:
Vernal Irons). The 1850 Ohio census Tuscawaras. Co. pg. 362 lists:

Oh., Thomas 17 m Oh., Elijah 16 m Oh., Morris 14 m Oh., Mary A. 11 f
Oh.. Elijah died in the Civil War at the Battle of Wilderness Va.
Charity and Elijah are buried in the Taylor Methodist Church Cemetery,
Coshocton Co.Oh. (Cemeteries Vol II Adams Twp.). In the records are a copy
of the estate and estate record, a copy of war 1812 application and
widow's pension application.Charity was not able to write and signed the pension application with
an X.

A definite family for Elijah is not known but due to others in county
and other sources I feel that John Mills Lacy (b1782), Elijah (b1785),
John S (b1793) were brothers and son of William
Lacey b. 1764 in Del.
and d. 1828 Oh. wife Mary.

Lacey was born in 1823 in
Carrol Co. Oh., and died in 1882 in Sullivan Co. In.. She married Andrew Gaskill, on May 2, 1839 in
Newcomerstown, Oh..
He was born April 174 in Lancashire, England. He died
August 27, 1851 in Tuscawaras, Co. Oh.. Susanna is buried in
Clayborne Cemetery, Cass Twp., Sullivan Co. In.. Andrew is buried
at Bethel Cemetery, Salem Twp. Tuscawaras Co. Oh..(pictures of stones
are in files). Note in file states "that James B. Gakilll is
buried next to John Harve McBride and that James B's marker is actually
where Mary J. Gaskill is buried on east side next to other Gaskills.
