David (b. 1778 according to 1850 Sullivan Co. census), William ((b.
1778, according to 1850 census and wife's name was
Francis) and Andrew
Wilkens (b. 1780-1790, according to 1830 Knox Co. In. census),
were possible brothers(?),
settled in Knox Co. In around 1809. An Andrew m. Elizabeth Thomas
12/24/1812 and a William m. Hetty Carruthers 5/18/1818.

Any of the three could be the father of Sarah Wilkens
Clark. If census was perfect
then David would
probably be her father, from number of older children on 1820
census. No proof exists that
Sarah Wilkens was his
daughter, but in 1820 census he is only one with children of correct
age. David and Andrew served on jury duty and for security
for various wills in Knox Co. from 1811 to 1815. David's
county change to Sullivan Co., although where he lived did not change,
he was
living around
Merom, when
Sullivan Co.was formed from Knox Co.. David and Andrew were
listed as voters in 1809 in
Indiana. Not listed in 1807 Territorial Census. Settled near Fort
Widner, Andrew married a sister
of Widner, according to Knox County History. David Wilkens
served with Col. Dubois at Battle of
Tippecanoe. Andrew led a division of Militia. David Wilkens had a
Land Patent 1817-1817, Sullivan
Co.(Knox Co.). Was Justice of Peace in 1833 and served as a Trustee of
